This page explains what this league collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written against the UK GDPR and PECR.

Who runs it

This league is operated by Brewer Consulting Group LLC, a company registered in the United States, which is the data controller for it. Email privacy@footballscoreline.com about anything on this page.

What is collected

• Your email address, for your sign-in code and any emails you opt into. There is no password, so it is how you get back in.
• A display name, shown publicly on the league table. It should not be your real name.
• The scorelines you predict, and the points they earn.
• Your email preferences, and a record of which emails were sent to you.

Cookies and local storage

Three things are stored on your device without asking, because all three are strictly necessary:

• Your sign-in session (sb-*-auth-token in local storage), which keeps you signed in. Cleared when you sign out.
• Cloudflare Turnstile, the "are you human" check on the sign-in form.
• Your cookie choice (fsl-consent-v1, or fsl-consent-v2 on the front page, in local storage), so you are not asked on every page.

Traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and approximate country. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, which is why it needs no consent.

Analytics cookies, which are optional

If this league runs Google Analytics, you are asked before anything loads. Accept and it sets its own cookies (_ga and _ga_*), telling us how people found the league and which pages they read. Advertising features and data sharing for advertising are off.

If you refuse, or do not answer, Google Analytics is not loaded at all and nothing about your visit reaches Google.

Session recording, on the front page only

On footballscoreline.com itself - the page that explains the product to podcasters, not any league - accepting optional cookies also loads Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records how the page was used: scrolling, clicks, and a replay of the movements through it, plus its own cookies (_clck and _clsk). It is there to answer whether the page explains the thing well, which visit counts cannot.

Clarity does not run on any league page, and it is not loaded at all if you refuse or do not answer.

Who processes it

• Supabase - database and sign-in. London region.
• Cloudflare - serves the site, the Turnstile check, and cookieless page counts.
• Resend - delivers sign-in codes and opt-in emails. EU region.
• Google - Google Analytics, only if you accept the optional cookies.
• Microsoft - Clarity session recording, only on footballscoreline.com and only if you accept the optional cookies.

Brewer Consulting Group LLC is based in the United States, so your data is controlled from there. All five providers below are US companies operating EU/UK infrastructure. Where data leaves the UK it is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Legal bases

• Performing a service you asked for - your account, your picks, and your name and score on the table.
• Consent - the optional emails, withdrawable any time from your account page or any unsubscribe link. The sign-in code is not optional; without it you cannot get in.
• Legitimate interests - keeping the sign-in form free of bots and the league free of abuse.

How long it is kept

Kept while you have an account. Leave the league from your account page and your name and picks are deleted. A record that a membership ended is kept, with no name or email attached.

Age

An account is for people aged 16 or over, and signing in confirms you are. Fixtures, results and the table are open to anyone. If you believe someone under 16 has an account, email privacy@footballscoreline.com and it will be deleted.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to it being processed, and withdraw consent. Most of that is on your account page. For anything else, email privacy@footballscoreline.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
